60th Anniversary of CSIRAC

On 18 November 2009, the Pearcey Foundation, ACS Victoria Branch together with the Melbourne Museum, will celebrate the 60th anniversary of CSIRAC. It will commemorate:

  • The 60th anniversary of the execution of the first stored program.
  • The listing of CSIRAC on the Victorian Heritage Register (the first time that an object rather than a building is registered).
  • The plans for the future of the CSIRAC display at the Melbourne Museum.

PR2009: Paul Gampe wins 2009 Queensland Pearcey Award

Paul Gampe was presented the 2009 Queensland Pearcey Award as young entrepreneur of the year, at a gala dinner ceremony in Brisbane. Paul has demonstrated outstanding leadership in ICT since graduating in 1991 from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.

PR2009: 2009 NSW Pearcey ICT Entrepreneur of the Year

12th November 2009 – Sydney. The 2009 NSW Pearcey ICT Entrepreneur of the Year award was held at NSW Parliament this evening and was awarded to Ian Gardner, founder of online video and digital media specialist Viocorp by the Hon Ian MacDonald MLC, Minister for State Development, Primary Industries and Mineral Resources.
