2001 Vic Award
The 2001 Victorian Pearcey Award was presented to Anna Carosa, Co-Founder and Vice President of ehyou.com Ltd, by Victoria Treasurer and Minister for State and Regional Development, John Brumby, at the Australian Computer Society National Conference at Lorne on 17th March.
Ian Dennis, Chairman of the Pearcey Foundation, had just announced the appointment of the Minister as State Patron of the Foundation. He also announced a Special Commendation to Jamie Cameron of Caldera Systems, the runner-up for this years Award.
In his speech, the Minister said the Victorian Government recognises the importance of all industries to acknowledge and reward people who have made outstanding contributions to their field. The Pearcey Award does just that by recognising those who have pushed the envelope and made a difference. Mr Brumby said I would also like to say how proud I am to be the State Patron for the Pearcey Foundation.

Anna, on receiving her Award, thanked the Government of Victoria and the Australian Computer Society as major sponsors, and the Pearcey Foundation for the honour.
Anna has been involved in IT since she started assembling power supplies at the age of six, and was actively involved in the foundation of her own web-design business at the age of sixteen, with her brother Domenic. The successful company was listed in late 1999 and the group now includes Sprint.com.au; MP3.com.au; and Creditcheck.com.au.
Anna received Business Victoria's Young Heroes Small Business Award in 1998, and was inducted into the Businesswomans Hall of Fame in 1999.
