Biography - Trevor Pearcey

A new biography of Dr Trevor Pearcey, Dean of the School of Computing and Information Systems (1980-1984) has been published by the Australian Dictionary of Biography. 

The biography provides an insight into Trevor's work history and achievements and his personal life.

The biography has been prepared by Mrs Barbara Ainsworth, Curator of the Monash Museum of Computing History Barbara is the pre-eminent expert on Dr Pearcey, and she is a frequent collaborator with the Pearcey Foundation and a member of our Heritage Committee.

We share the passion to ensure that the storied legacy of Australia, in giving birth to the digital age, is recognised and valued; as Australians continue to be at the forefront of computing technologies in both research and application.

Recognising, remembering and celebrating our achievements, past and present, is essential to inspiring the next generation of Australian innovators in computing technologies.
