    <post_title><![CDATA[Emeritus Professor Peter Poole passes away August 2017]]></post_title>
    <post_content_short><![CDATA[Emeritus Professor Peter Poole passed away peacefully in Perth on 19 August 2017, in the company of his daughters, and three of his seven
grandchildren. He was a <strong>pioneering leader at the University of Melbourne</strong> and elevated to the <strong>Pearcey Hall of Fame
in 2010</strong>.
Prof. Poole's legacy will continue to influence the ongoing activities of the School of Computing and Information Systems, and the
